Milk kefir in creamy mash

Milk kefir in creamy mash

Are you bored of the same old mashed potatoes? If so, here’s a quick tip how to use Kefir. Not only tastes great but looks pretty on your plate too. Creamy and velvety!

Here’s what you need:

2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and quartered
1/2 cup of Kefir
2 Tbsp of unsalted butter
1/4 cup of chopped fresh chives
salt and pepper to taste

How to…

Bring potatoes to boil, drain and mash. Mix in Kefir using a potato masher or an electric mixer until fluffy. Stir in butter and chives. Season with salt and pepper.

Enjoy !

  1. Haha I saw this a week after I tried it myself with kefir, pretty much like yours minus the chives. How good is it? Will try with chives next time

  2. I made Kefir mashed potatoes with roasted garlic and chives. I also make scones with Kefir and blueberries. Really yummy!

I roasted a whole head of garlic, (drizzed olive oil over garlic, popped it in foil and roasted till nice and soft) then added to my boiled potatoes with unsalted butter, chives and Himalayan salt and white pepper. I love the tangy taste and now my new favourite!!
